The best-funded voice-AI vendor in the trades ($125M raised, $1B valuation) publishes no price and has zero reviews on G2. Treat "call for pricing" as a finding.

The vendor is usehatchapp.com. hatch.com is a different company entirely, a global engineering consultancy, and that is the address this directory had until 2026-09-07. All three tiers — Standard, Pro, Enterprise — are quote-only. Hatch says pricing is a platform fee plus usage, sold annually and paid monthly per location, so the year is the real commitment. A $499 a month for 250 conversations, $2 each after figure circulated before the price page became a form; nothing on the site supports it now, so treat it as hearsay, not a quote.

- Plans $59 to $329 per month; AI CSR answering priced separatelyReportedread 2026-09-04
The AI CSR is priced separately from the plan and the separate price was not on the page we read.

No price on the page.
- AI Receptionist $29 a month, added to a Jobber plan. One-user plans are $49 / $139 / $199 a month with no commitment, or $29 / $99 / $149 billed annually.Verifiedread 2026-09-07
The $29 is an add-on, not the price: you need a Jobber plan underneath it, so the real floor is $78 a month (Core at $49 with no commitment, plus Receptionist). Receptionist is included at no extra cost on the Plus plan, and Plus is quote-only — at 16 or more people every Jobber plan becomes contact sales. A community-forum report says the receptionist collects personal details but not what the call is about, so the booking arrives with no idea what it is for.

Smith.ai sells two receptionists under one name and this is the AI one: compare it against the human-first Virtual Receptionists, which start at $300, not against a competitor's single plan. The per-call rate is published; the refund policy is not — a customer who prepaid $2,500 for six months and never switched it on was refused a refund on 2026-09-01. A BBB complaint describes two waves of 100-plus silent spam calls billed at $2.20 each, over $300 in disputed overages.

The human-first receptionist, and the reason a Smith.ai price needs the product named: its entry plan is $300 where the AI Receptionist's is $0, and its overage is $11.50 a call where the AI product's is $3.00. A subject line that mixed the two was off by roughly six times. The overage is published, the refund policy is not — a customer who prepaid $2,500 for six months and never switched it on was refused a refund on 2026-09-01.

How we read a price
13 of the 31 publish a price we could read ourselves. 3 we took from a third-party page and have not yet re-read. 15 publish nothing, and that is a finding, not a gap: a vendor who will not print a number is telling you the number depends on what they think you can pay.
A price on this page is the monthly list price for a single shop. It does not include setup fees, per-minute overage, or the annual-contract discount a rep will offer once you flinch.
Does it work in Spanish
Half this market sells you something that answers the phone, and a lot of the people calling speak Spanish. Almost nobody publishes a straight answer. Each tool page now answers three separate questions, because they are three different purchases: does the AI talk to your customers in Spanish, is the software itself in Spanish for the crew who log into it, and can you get a Spanish-speaking human when it breaks.
11 of the 31 publish a page we could read saying their AI takes a call in Spanish. Use the Español filter above to see them. Everything else says not checked and stays that way until a page says otherwise — "multilingual" with no language named is not proof, and a blank we can stand behind beats a yes we cannot.
What the verdicts mean
A verdict is our call for an owner doing $1M to $20M a year. It is made from the verified price, the contract terms and the complaint record — never from a demo, and never from a vendor's case study.
| Verdict | What it means |
|---|---|
| Worth a look | Price published, record clean, terms readable. |
| Ask first | Buy only once the named clause is in writing. |
| Skip | The record or the terms say no. |
| Not tested yet | Listed and priced, but no issue has made the call. |
Verdicts marked example show the four states so you can see how they read. No verdict is real until an issue makes it.
